Pramod Lamichhane awarded Fermilab LHC Physics Center Travel Grant

Ph.D. student, Pramod Lamichhane, has been awarded a travel grant by Fermilab to support his residency at Fermilab's LHC Physics Center this summer.

He is analyzing data from the CMS experiment at CERN to search for quark and lepton compositeness manifest in enhanced production of high mass electron-positron and muon-anti-muon pairs produced in proton-proton collisions with a center-of-mass energy of 8 tera-electron volts.

Mr. Lamichhane is a member of the Wayne State CMS team that contributed to the Higgs boson discovery last summer.
