This Century's Last Transit of Venus

The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Wayne State University is holding a Public Viewing Event for the last transit of Venus of our lifetime.

THIS EVENT WILL ALSO INCLUDE: Direct and indirect viewing of the transit of Venus through roof top telescopes (weather providing) and through a projected NASA feed; Phantastic Physics Phenomena demos including the Fire Tornado; planetarium shows held at 6:45 and 7:45PM in the WSU Planetarium, Room 0209, Old Main Building, 4841 Cass Avenue
(a short walk from the Physics Research Building), and included as part of each planetarium show, a transit of Venus video.

*The Roof top Observatory is not handicap accessible. To reach the roof top, take the elevator to the 3rd floor, immediately exit to your right, walk a short distance, make a left and follow this hallway around to you reach the stairs. Go up the two flights to the roof top.
