Sowjanya Gollapinni receives Visiting Scholar Award

Ph.D. student, Sowjanya Gollapinni, receives a prestigious Visiting Scholar Award at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory from the Universities Research Association.

This is a competitive award open to candidates from major research universities in the United States. The title of Sowjanya Gollapinni¡¯s project is "Search for Contact Interactions in the Dimuon Channel using the CMS Experiment." Sowjanya joins the group of previous winners of this award from Wayne State University: Professor Mark Mattson (current recipient) and former Ph.D. student Shalhout Shalhout.
