WSU Dept of Physics to host Conference for Undergraduate Women in Physics in Jan 2017

The Department of Physics & Astronomy is proud to announce that Wayne State University will be hosting the Conference for Undergraduate Women in Physics (CUWiP) in January of 2017.  

 
The 2017 conference takes place on the weekend of Martin Luther King Day and is at nine sites across the country.  The other eight sites are:

Rice University
University of Colorado, Boulder
Montana State University
Virginia Tech 
Harvard University
Princeton University
UCLA
U. of Wisconsin, Madison

Many thanks are due to Professors Majumder (chair), Sakamoto, J. Huang, and Zhou; the committee who put together the successful application to host the conference.  The Dept of Physics is also getting support from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the Graduate School, the Office of Research, and the Provost.
